There are SO many unique options when it comes to a rain checked photoshoot. Although nature is beautiful and the city is exciting, many times my favorite sessions are those that feel a bit more personal – for example…

… in the coffee shop you had your first date
… in a studio just focusing on nothing but the two of you
… and SO many more!!
Your HOME
Let’s start with the most obvious…but often most overlooked!! Your own home is always such a sweet place to take a couples photoshoot in. Whether you’ve lived in your space for 2 weeks or 20 years, there is nothing more personal than your home.
This is always fun because you don’t have to rely as much on yourselves to bring your personality into your photos- you can rely more on the space that you put so much time and effort into!
And don’t worry if there’s a little clutter or you’re not done decorating yet…it adds a little character ;)
Coffee Shops
I always say that if something seems a little cliche….it’s always cliche FOR A REASON!!
Coffee shops always have the best vibes- and if you go in the afternoon, they most likely won’t be too crowded!! Whether you’re an avid coffee lover or not, you can’t deny the aesthetics of a good coffee shop are unmatched.
Plus, you can grab a latte with some beautiful latte art as a prop and maybe a tasty croissant to go with it (I mean…what’s better than cute photos AND a sweet treat?)
What brings you joy? Maybe its grocery shopping!
Maybe it’s going to the bodega to grab a bacon, egg, & cheese bagel… maybe it’s sitting down at a new cocktail bar…maybe it’s the bookstore you go to every Sunday…the possibilities are totally endless!
Think outside of the box here and don’t forget to have fun while you’re having some super special photos taken!!
